Missing misconduct
The CEO of a large NFP received an anonymous report about the mishandling of an allegation of sexual exploitation. Given the relevant HR team were within scope, the CEO sought Mārama Group’s assistance in undertaking an initial review and the preparation of a suitable report for the governance group. It was determined that there was some room for improvement in complaints handling. Mārama Group worked with the executive team to enhance and develop the approach to safeguarding and related risk.
